1.) Is this hackathon an online event or offline?

-> Smart Aurangabad Hackathon is an offline event and as a participant, you will need to be present at the Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad campus.

2.) How big can a team be?

-> You can form teams of up to 4 people. Most teams aim to have a mix of people with both design and developer skills. At least 1 girl per team is compulsory.

3.) Is there any registration fee?

-> No. Registrations are completely free of cost.

4.) If my team is shortlisted for the on-site hackathon, will my team be reimbursed for expenses pertaining to travel?

-> No reimbursement would be provided. You’ll have to make your own arrangements.

5.) Once accepted for the second phase, what should I bring?

-> Bring your student ID and laptops. You will be provided with other basic amenities here.

6.) Can I start working on my solution before the event?

-> No. In the interest of fairness, students should not be working on their projects before the hackathon begins and we do not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects. However, you can familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand.

7.) How to reach Government Engineering College Aurangabad?

-> Aurangabad is well connected to all major cities of India by train and roads. The airport at Aurangabad has daily flights to Delhi/Hyderabad/Mumbai.

8.) Who is eligible to apply?

-> Students enrolled in any college in India can apply for the hackathon.

8.) Will I be provided travel and accommodation reimbursement?

-> Unfortunately, you won't be provided with a travel accommodation, but you will be provided with accommodation in the college campus itself.
